ITEM DESCRIPTION: Here is a Beautiful & Ultra-Rare Antique Circa early 1900s Beautifully Hand-Colored Bromide Photographic Print untitled of the Famous Venice Bridge, ‘Ponti di Rialto’ (Rialto Bridge), after the original painting by an unknown artist whose illegible signature appears lower-right in the corner. Print Info: There is no publisher info printed on the piece. The Print is on a nice heavy-weight cream-colored wove photographic stock with smooth front, and as is typical with some old photographic stocks, there is a little slight curl to the paper along the top & bottom edges which would flatten out perfectly once the piece is archivally matted & framed-up behind UV conservation glass—so please pardon my clamps holding it down to another backing stock to photograph. Size & Condition: The Photo-Print size is 10-5/8” x 15” and is in VeryGood-Excellent Rare+ condition for its antique age with absolutely no color fade—wonderful, rich & vibrant color! This Photo-Print has been tucked away in our archive amongst other prints & lithos since it was purchased by the Meibohm family and hasn’t seen the light of day in all this time and is as good as any collector could hope to find in its original never-framed condition. Ultra-minimal (only a handful or so) of very tiny & very faint foxing specks scattered here & there on the sheet which are hardly even noticeable from the back and aren’t even worth mentioning. Only one tiny 5/8” outer edge tear on the bottom edge near the corner which is repaired from behind with archival tape for protection, and could easily be matted & framed out if need be. Extremely minimal (only a handful) of very slight & small crescent-creases scattered here & there in the image area and along a few outer edges, as well as a couple tiny dog-ear bends in a couple corners and some outer margin edge wear with some dents & dings here & there—all outer margin issues are negligible and easily matted & framed out. Negligible/no real or noticeable toning of the paper stock from age, especially amidst the cream color of the paper stock itself. This beautiful antique print has never been framed which is always more desirable to collectors since it has never been exposed to older non-archival materials, matburn or lightfade.
